Abstract cinema is populated with the work of painters, musicians and other artists working with (or through) the medium of film to explore imaginative correspondences between music, light and sound, colour and tone. Painting in Motion presents rare historical examples from the NFSA’s 16mm collection of Australian experimental film and is curated by Danni Zuvela. This event is presented in collaboration with the National Film and Sound Archive (NFSA) and OtherFilm. This event is part of the current Colour Music exhibition at the Drill Hall Gallery.
